LAND ACQUISITION OFFICER

The role is responsible in the conduct of land validation of land ownership off all covered areas to secure access for the First Mine Facilities of the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project. 
 
This is a project employment based in Tampakan.
 
Specific Personal Accountabilities:
 
1. Sustainable Development Practices – Ensure effective use of the projects safety and environmental-friendly standards and systems within own area of responsibility to positively contribute on nurturing the organization’s sustainable development culture and compliance to ISO 140001. 
 
2. Land Acquisition and Management – Facilitate the Land Conflict Settlement of all conflicting land claims within the Phase 1 target of the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project. 
Prepare report of conflict and land claims based on validation report before land settlement mediation process will start status.
Assist in the implementation of the Offsite land acquisition program for the Tampakan Copper Gold Project. These includes but not limited to the following:
- Land Validation of landownership claims of all areas required for resettlement sites, Proposed SMI Port, Transmission Lines, and other required areas need for the project
- Process the title transfer of the following:
? Liberty Core Farm Properties
? Employees Village
? PORT titling of remaining untitled land
- Settlement of conflicting land claims that is within the Offsite of SMI Project
- Assist in the Onsite acquisition, if required
- Assist in the conduct of crop inventory activities, if required
- Assist in the EMS preparation for Land Team
- Assist in the negotiation of all Offsite Projects
- Assist in contract preparations of all offsite land contracts
 
3. Cost Management and Accountability – Ensure prudent and judicious use of the company’s resources without compromising the delivery of quality products and output in the most effective and efficient way.
 
4. Compliance – Ensure that land acquisitions within the Ancestral domain is in accordance with in the FPIC rules and guidelines specifically the Memorandum of Agreement with the IP’s.
 
5. Internal Legal Support – Provide Internal Legal support services based on the mandate of Legal and Compliance Department.
 
Key requirements:
 
Bachelor’s Degree preferably with Law background.
Minimum of (5) five years of experience in mediation, land settlement and or arbitration works.
Experience working with Indigenous Peoples especially the Blaan Tribe, realty, surveying firm land development.
Experience in Land Registration and Transfer.
Experience in working in mining industry is an advantage.
Knowledgeable on how to understand land disputes and able to facilitate discussion in a claim and peaceful manner. 
Able to walk for long hours in rugged terrain.
Proficient in MS Office applications
